“Kinnikuman: The Perfect Superhuman Ancestors” main visual revealed, with Otsuka Akio, Kobayashi Chikahiro, Nojima Kenji and others playing the role of perfect superhumans “Look forward to it…”

It has been decided that the TV anime “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin” will be broadcast on the “Agaru Anime” slot on 28 CBC/TBS affiliated stations nationwide from July 7th. The main visual has been released.

In addition, the cast members who will play the perfect superhumans who are key to the story, including Otsuka Akio, Kobayashi Chikahiro, Nojima Kenji, Hiyama Nobuyuki, Tomioka Yusuke, Odaka Yoshiyasu, and Ishige Shoya, have been announced and their comments have arrived.

The original “Kinnikuman” is a fighting manga written by Takashi Shimada and illustrated by Yoshinori Nakai, and serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump since 1979. It tells the story of Kinnikuman, a clumsy and foolish dropout superhuman from Planet Kinniku, who grows through hard work, friendship and victory into the strongest man in the world of superhuman fighting.
The series is currently being serialized in “Weekly Playboy” and “ShupureNEWS”, and has sold over 77 million copies. The latest volume, 84, is currently on sale. The anime series “Kinkeshi”, which began airing in 1983 and became a huge hit, is known as a popular series that has sold over 180 million units.

The new anime series, “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin Arc,” is a continuation of the previously animated “Kinnikuman Throne Battle Arc,” and depicts the “Perfect Origin Arc,” one of the most popular arcs in the original work. It is produced by Production IG under the direction of Director Satou Haru, with series composition by Fukami Makoto, character design by Marufuji Hiroki, and music by Takanashi Koji. Miyano Mamoru will voice Kinnikuman, while Kamiya Akira, who played Kinnikuman in the previous series, will voice Kinniku Mayumi and Prince Kamehame.

The newly released key visual depicts a grand three-way conflict between the righteous superheroes Kinnikuman, Terryman, and the seven evil superheroes including Buffalo Man, and the perfect superheroes Strong the Martial Arts.
In addition, the seven cast members who will play the perfect superhumans who are key to the story have also been revealed: Strong the Martial Artist will be played by Akio Otsuka, Max Radial will be played by Chikahiro Kobayashi, Turbo Man will be played by Kenji Nojima, and Dalmatian Man will be played by Nobuyuki Hiyama.

Yusuke Tomioka will play the role of Crashman, Yoshiyasu Odaka will play the role of Merlin Man, and Shoya Ishige will play the role of Peek-a-Boo. Each of them has also given enthusiastic comments.

The TV anime “Kinnikuman: Perfect Origin” will be broadcast on 28 CBC/TBS affiliated stations nationwide in the “Agaru Anime” time slot from July 7th every Sunday from 11:30pm.
In addition, it will be aired on BS11 from 6:30pm every Friday from July 12th, and on Animax from 9pm every Saturday from July 27th. When I was a kid, Kinnikuman was broadcast every week early on Sunday morning, and I remember getting up early just to watch it.
To be able to be involved in such a production is a truly mysterious and dreamlike experience.
If I go back to my parents' house and turn over an empty box of sweets I received as a midsummer gift, I feel like I'll find Kinnikuman erasers popping out all over the place.

Ahh…how nostalgic.
Even on set, I remember everyone excitedly talking about which superhero was their favorite, what their favorite special move was, etc.

Turboman: Kenji Nojima
I'm Nojima Kenji, playing the role of Turboman.
During the first recording, we thoroughly discussed how to express the “breathing” that is a characteristic of Turbo Men. I felt that the individuality of each character was important, but super unique superhumans appeared one after another, exceeding my imagination! How can I play so many superhumans with such rich individuality? I'll tell you the reason in secret.

That's because it features extremely unique and superhuman voice actors!

Daruma Man: Nobuyuki Hiyama
When “Kinnikuman” was made into an anime in the Showa era, was Hiyama a junior high or high school student?
So I didn't watch that much (sorry to all Kinnikuman fans! (^^;))
But my younger brother was totally hooked.
That's right, I should contact my younger brother and tell him, “Kinnikuman is being made into a new anime. And I'm going to be in it!”

Nice to meet you all! I'm Yusuke Tomioka!
When did he actually meet Kinnikuman and the gang?
I think it was Kinkeshis? No, I think it was when I went to the barbershop that I first read manga.
I can't remember exactly, but ever since I was born they had been in this world, fighting in the ring; they were superhumans who were a part of everyday life.

There's no need to be tough on me. For some reason, I knew this phrase too. I don't know what it means, but I knew it anyway.
So, I'm joining the world of Kinnikuman, which is a natural part of our world…?!
When I got the role, I was so happy together with my manager, and I went home and immediately started working out for about three days to get into shape.

The character I'll be playing this time is Crushman. He has a powerful move that uses the six iron fingers that extend from his back, the Iron Gloves, to turn his opponents into mincemeat.
“Hey, that's dangerous! It's a lethal weapon!”
However, when I looked around, I saw people tearing people apart with tires, stabbing people with their upper jaws, and so on… There were a lot of people with flashy techniques.
There is an actual wrestling move that is still burned into my memory. I saw it on TV when I was in elementary school, when HBK hit Triple H with Sweet Chin Music…
The blow he delivered after getting the audience excited was really cool and shocking.
Special moves are romantic and something to aspire to. The moves that appear in Kinnikuman must have been the object of admiration for many children. (You can experience those great moves at the Kinnikuman Museum!)
We put a lot of effort into the Iron Glove so that it can be used as a coveted technique!

I'm Yoshiyasu Otaka, and I'll be playing Kansha/Merlin Man in the TV anime “Kinnikuman: The Perfect Superhuman Ancestors”!
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for being involved in “Kinnikuman,” a work that is loved all over the world!
My favorite character in “Kinnikuman” is always the cool, passionate and cool “Robin Mask”, but this time I was playing a role fighting “Atlantis”, who has a deep connection with my beloved Robin Mask, so I personally was filled with the feeling that I didn't want to lose! My name is Shoya Ishige, and I will be playing the role of Peek-a-Boo in the TV anime “Kinnikuman: The Perfect Chojin Ancestors.”
To be honest, even now as I write this comment, I can't believe that I have the opportunity to take part in the world of Kinnikuman as one of the cast members.
