The live-action movie “Whisper of the Heart” will be broadcast for the first time on terrestrial TV!Draw “Shizuku and Seiji 10 years later” with Nana Seino and Tori Matsuzaka

It has been announced that “Whisper of the Heart”, a live-action film adaptation of the timeless masterpiece, will be broadcast for the first time on terrestrial TV on May 10th on Nippon Television’s movie program “Friday Road Show”. This is a live-action movie that depicts the story of Shizuku and Seiji 10 years later, starring Nana Seino as the adult Shizuku Tsukishima and Tori Matsuzaka as Seiji Amasawa.

“Whisper of the Heart” is a timeless masterpiece by Aoi Hiiragi that was serialized in the girls’ manga magazine “Ribon” in 1989. In 1995, an animated film produced by Studio Ghibli was released, and it has gone down in history as a monumental youth film that still stands the test of time.
This work is the first live-action film adaptation of that masterpiece. From the sweet and sour youth of junior high school students depicted in both manga and animated movies, Shizuku and Seiji have grown up 10 years later as they continue to chase their dreams, and the fate of their love grows, and the conflict between them as they continue to move toward the dreams they promised each other.
