Walt Disney Japan has brought together a gorgeous cast and top-notch staff to produce director Hayao Miyazaki’s latest work, “How Do You Live?”, his first film in about 10 years since 2013’s “The Wind Rises.” On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, the DVD will be released for 5,170 yen (tax included), the Blu-ray for 7,480 yen (tax included), and the first Studio Ghibli work, 4KUHD, will be released for 11,880 yen (tax included).

Producer Toshio Suzuki’s “advertisement without advertising” created a sense of anticipation among people, became an overwhelming topic of discussion, and swept across Japan, becoming a huge hit when it was released in theaters in July 2023.

It subsequently won numerous film awards, including the 96th American Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film, the 77th British Academy Award for Best Animated Film, and the 81st Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Film, making it the first film in the history of Japanese animation to achieve this feat. “How do you live?”
