Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition officially announced

A Nintendo officially announced that the game Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition will be available for Nintendo Switch on July 18th.

In the press we can read:

Paying tribute to the unforgettable in-person event Nintendo World Championshipscarried out in 1990, 2015 and 2017, the game Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition challenges players to compete in classic titles. Old school and new players alike can enjoy the adrenaline rush of more than 150 challenges taken from 13 classic games from NES. Warm up by setting and improving your own times in single-player Time Trial Mode and unlocking new challenges and unique pins along the way. Up to eight players can compete locally in Party Mode. The members of the Nintendo Switch Online They can also enter World Championship mode and submit their best times in five challenges that rotate each week and compete for a place on the global leaderboard.

  For those whose NES roots are already deep, get ready for the Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition – Deluxe Set, also available on July 18th. This special edition includes a physical version of the game, a set of five collectible pins, a set of 13 illustrated commemorative cards from each of the game's classics, NES featured and a replica of the legendary gold Game Pack (display only, stand included) to commemorate the original event, 1990's Nintendo World Championships.

In Europe, the Deluxe Set will be available exclusively at My Nintendo Store.
