According to the The Verge The Microsoft will reportedly be debating whether to place Call of Duty at the Game Pass along with a price increase on the subscription service.
Following the news of the closure of 4 studios, something that aroused harsh criticism, the journalist Tom Warren he wrote:
Microsoft also had internal debates about the possibility of putting new Call of Duty releases on Game Pass. I understand this is a debate that has been ongoing internally for some time, with concerns from some that the revenue that Call of Duty typically generates for Activision Blizzard will be hurt by Game Pass.
This debate arises as a result of the slowdown in the number of Game Pass subscribers and the weak sales of Xbox consoles. Tom Warren comments:
The internal debate reflects the fact that Microsoft's Xbox strategy has changed from just delivering its games exclusively on Game Pass to considering bringing more Xbox games to multiple platforms.
