Leak: Valve's next game is Deadlock

Gabe Followera well-known leaker from Valve, revealed that the company's next game will be called Deadlock.

According to the leaker Deadlock it was previously called Neon Prime, Citadel and it is described like this:

Hero-based competitive third-person shooter. 6 vs 6 battles on a huge map with 4 lanes. Usable skills and items. Tower defense mechanics. Fantasy setting mixed with steampunk. Magicians, strange creatures and robots. Fast travel using floating rails, similar to Bioshock Infinite.

You can see some screenshots above. Deadlock is described as a game that mixes Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch and Valorant:

Basically, gameplay ADHD interesting and fast-paced. Combination of Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Valorant, Smite, Orcs Must Die.

Hero designs very inspired by the Dota universe. The main map references a modern European steampunk city (a bit like Half-Life). Initially the game had science fiction elements inspired by Half-Life and Portal, but after poor feedback the development team decided to focus on fantasy.
