Commemorative visual released for 1000th episode of “Pretty Cure” – Cure Black & Cure Wonderful

The popular TV anime series “PreCure” celebrated its 1000th broadcast with the 18th episode of “Wonderful PreCure!”, which aired on June 2nd. Since the first series “Futari wa PreCure” began airing on February 1st, 2004, the series has been airing every Sunday at 8:30am on ABC TV and TV Asahi for 20 years, and has finally reached this milestone.

To commemorate this, a commemorative visual was released on the official X website.

The “PreCure” series is a heroine transformation action anime in which an ordinary girl transforms into a legendary warrior, PreCure, and fights powerful enemies. The series began with the first series, “Futari wa PreCure,” broadcast in 2004, and is currently airing the 21st series, “Wonderful PreCure!” (Wanpuri).

In the 18th episode of “Wanpuri” entitled “Mayu's Feelings, Yuki's Feelings”, a special video was played before the main story, saying “The many connected feelings that started with 'Futari wa Pretty Cure'!” and at the end, the original Pretty Cure and current Pretty Cure characters celebrated the 1000th broadcast with a special performance saying “Thank you for 1000 episodes!”

The motif of “Wonderful Pretty Cure!” is “animals” and the theme is “bonds with animals.”

The key phrase is “Everyone's friends! Wonderful!” and the story depicts interactions that transcend species, set in Animal Town, a town where animals and people live together in harmony.

Iroha, who loves animals, is good friends with her pet dog Komugi. One day, they encounter a mysterious creature called Garugaru that is rampaging through the city. To protect Iroha, Komugi transforms into a human and becomes a Pretty Cure. The story follows the two of them working together to return the animals to Nico Garden in order to save the child who is heartbroken.
