Arknights: Rise from Ember anime series announced

With this trailer and promotional image it was announced that the anime series is in production Arknights: Rise from Ember.

We previously had the 8 episode anime series Arknights: Prelude to Dawn (Arknights: Reimei Zensou) in October 2022 and Arknights: Perish in Frost in October 2023.

With animation by Yostar Picturesthe animation studio created by Yostarthe publisher of Azur Lanethe direction is Yuki Watanabe with Masataka Nishikawa as assistant director. Both previously worked on the “Holy Knight Light” first anniversary short anime for smartphones, and Watanabe worked on several game anime shorts.

The Chinese Studio Montagne and the Hypergryph launched the game in China in May 2019, and then Yostar released the game worldwide in January 2020.

A Yostar founded the animation studio Yostar Pictures in early 2020. Yostar CEO, Hengda Liis the representative director of Yostar Pictures. A Archa Tokyo-based company that helped produce the anime film Promareparticipated in the creation of the studio and is managing the studio.

Arknights Synopsis

The game takes place in a dystopian and post-apocalyptic future on planet Earth, where people exhibit kemonomimi characteristics – characteristics of animals or mythological races. The natural disasters that hit the world helped in the production of a valuable mineral, Originium, which allows the use of “arts” (magic) and which usually infects people with a progressive disease, the Oripatia virus.

Due to the disease’s 100% mortality rate and its high infectivity at the time of death, hostility towards those infected spread, leading to mass quarantine and expulsion of these people by governments around the world, and caused tensions between infected and uninfected.

The player takes on the role of the “Doctor”, who leads a team of “operators” from the island of Rhodes, a pharmaceutical, medical and self-defense organization. As the Oripathy virus spreads, the team must search for a cure while fending off threats such as the Reunion Movement, an infected anarchist military force bent on overthrowing Earth’s governments in revenge for the hunt for victims of the Oripathy virus.
