Nintendo acquires Shiver Entertainment

A Nintendo announced that it has established an agreement with the Embracer Group to acquire 100 percent of the outstanding shares of Shiver Entertainmenta Miami-based game developer.

A Shiver communicated the following:

Shiver is a video game development company that develops software for various platforms including the Nintendo Switch. Since its creation in 2012, Shiver has established partnerships with publishers and producers through commissions for the development of large-scale titles and has recently worked on the porting and development of software titles such as Hogwarts Legacy and Mortal Kombat 1.

Nintendo will acquire 100 percent of Shiver's outstanding shares to make it a wholly owned subsidiary. By welcoming Shiver's experienced and successful development team, Nintendo aims to ensure top-notch resources for the transfer and development of software titles. In the future, even after becoming part of the Nintendo group, Shiver's focus will remain the same, that is, continuing the commissions that port and develop software for multiple platforms that include the Nintendo Switch. The acquisition will be completed pending satisfaction of all customary closing conditions.
