Honnoji Temple has been turned into a labyrinth by the time-traversing army. Mori Ranmaru, who has been turned into a non-human by the retrograde army, is attacked by Sozo Samonji and Fudo Yukimitsu. Yukimitsu Fudou tries to persuade Ranmaru, who desperately pursues Mitsuhide Akechi, who has run away, despite being seriously injured, but Ranmaru won't listen.
