The movie “SAND LAND” will be released on Blu-ray and DVD! A special booklet containing valuable settings by Akira Toriyama will be included as a bonus.

The film “SAND LAND” will be released on May 29, 2024 on a special limited edition Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD.

The original work of “SAND LAND” was written by Akira Toriyama, a manga artist known for his work on the smash hit comic “Dragon Ball,” which has sold a total of 260 million copies worldwide, and the character designs for the nationally popular RPG “Dragon Quest” series. The short story was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” in 2000 and has been praised as “a masterpiece boasting overwhelming perfection.”

Set in the desert world of Sandland, where both monsters and humans suffer from a water shortage, the story follows the demon prince Beelzebub as he searches for a “phantom spring” said to be somewhere in the desert, along with his supervisor, the monster Thief, and the human sheriff, Lao.

The special limited edition comes with one bonus disc in addition to the main disc. The bonus disc includes the Japan premiere stage greeting (not including imase's singing part), a talk show at Comic-Con 2023 in San Diego, and the first 15 minutes of the main feature (narration part). In addition, as a bonus, a special booklet (56 pages) containing staff interviews, character and mecha setting drawings, valuable settings by Akira Toriyama, and three original stickers are also included.

In addition, customers who purchase at participating stores will receive a free sticker (A8 size) as a general bonus.

In addition, “SAND LAND: THE SERIES,” which consists of two chapters – “The Demon Prince Arc,” which has been reconstructed by adding previously unreleased scenes and new scenes to the film version, and “The Angel Brave Arc,” which depicts a new story that continues from the film version that Akira Toriyama came up with over 20 years ago – is currently being distributed exclusively on Disney Plus “Star.”
