Since 2009, Digital Hollywood University (hereinafter referred to as DHU) has been providing a place for people under the age of 18 from all over the world, who create various works individually, through club activities, and among friends, to present the results of their daily creative activities. 18 Artist Contest (commonly known as Aticon) is being held.

In 2024, we will continue to solicit original works in three categories: illustration, 3DCG, and video, with the theme of “Your best work of choice.'' We accept applications from people all over the world, regardless of nationality or place of residence.

In addition to faculty members in the 3DCG field at DHU, the judges will include people from companies that support the creative industry. The entries will be judged by professionals, and the Grand Prix will be selected from among all the entries, as well as the Grand Prix in each category.

Continuing from last year, winners of the Grand Prix and the highest award in each category will be exempted from the document review for the comprehensive selection[special student selection].For prospective students who wish to enroll at DHU, this is a chance to get closer to becoming a scholarship student whose tuition fees will be fully waived for up to four years! Please feel free to apply.

In addition, a “participation certificate” will be issued to all applicants for the U-18 Artist Contest. Even if you are not selected for an award in each category, you can still use it as part of your extracurricular activities or inquiry learning.

DHU has a scholarship system (tuition exemption scholarship) for those who have experience and ability in the fields of production, planning, English, and e-sports. If you are selected as a scholarship student, your tuition fee (1,040,000 yen) will be completely waived for up to four years.

The selection process is broadly divided into two stages: “document screening” and “interview.” Comprehensive selection[scholarship student selection]will be held for the grand prize winners of the “U-18 Artist Contest 2024” and the grand prize winners in each category. will be exempted from document review. [About Digital Hollywood University[DHU]]

In April 2005, it opened in Akihabara, Tokyo as a joint-stock university approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (currently located in Ochanomizu, Tokyo). It has the Faculty of Digital Communication (a four-year university) and the Graduate School of Digital Content Studies (a professional graduate school).

At the School of Digital Communication, students acquire the ability to survive in an uncertain and unpredictable future in their own way. Working at the forefront of industry in digital content (3DCG/VFX, VR/AR, games, video, graphics, web design, media art, programming, etc.) and planning/communication (business plans, marketing, PR, etc.) We have adopted a one-faculty, one-department system where you can learn a wide range of things from our instructors. Furthermore, in order to develop global human resources, we have a focused study program in foreign languages ​​and promote study abroad. With students from 43 countries and regions around the world, we operate a diverse campus in front of Ochanomizu Station.

The Graduate School of Digital Content balances the four elements of emergent academic fields (SEAD (Science/Engineering/Art/Design)) in order to produce leaders who will make full use of digital communication and bring about social change in an ultra-advanced information society. We will develop human resources who can acquire and integrate knowledge well and bridge theory and practice. Due to the implementation of graduate students' ideas and startup support, including new business planning and prototyping, we were ranked 13th among universities nationwide and 5th among private universities in the 2020 University Venture Survey (Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry).
