Spice and Wolf, Act 9: Lawrence reunites with Jacob, whom he regards as his father

The TV anime “Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf” will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks every Monday at 25:30 starting April 1, 2024. A preview of the 9th act and a synopsis have been released.

“Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf” is based on the hugely popular light novel “Spice and Wolf” by Isuna Hasekura. Published by KADOKAWA's Dengeki Bunko, it won the Silver Prize in the 12th Dengeki Novel Prize and celebrated its 15th anniversary in 2021.
The series has now sold over 5 million copies in total, with sequels such as “Spice and Wolf Spring Log” and a spin-off series, “Spice and Wolf New Theory: Wolf and Parchment,” also being published. It is highly popular not only in Japan but also overseas.
Although it was adapted into an anime in 2008 and 2009, Spice and Wolf: Merchant Meets the Wise Wolf is not a sequel to those works, but rather a re-animation of the story from the beginning.

When Lawrence arrived in Rübinheigen, he visited the Loen Merchant Guild, to which his fellow merchants belonged.
Lawrence was happy to be reunited with Jacob, the head of the cooperative and whom he regarded as a father, and asked him to issue a certificate of membership in the cooperative. However, the moment he heard where the goods were sold, Jacob's face grew gloomy.
Meanwhile, after parting ways with Lawrence and the others, Nora asks the priest at the church who is helping her find work for information on where to graze her sheep…
