ROG Ally X is officially announced

A ASUS provided details about the ROG Ally Xthe successor of ROG Ally. The Taiwanese company preferred not to call the new model ROG Ally 2 because it is not a completely new device, but rather an updated product with the same processor AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme and the same 7″” VRR screen with a 120hz refresh rate.

The main improvement will be the battery. The company confirms a battery with 30 to 40% more autonomy. According to ASUS Anyone who waits around 3 hours for a AAA game can finally count on this autonomy.

A ASUS also confirmed that the device will support a drive SSD M.2 2280 conventional, which will certainly make internal storage upgrades much simpler. These two details combined suggest that the portable device will be larger, although no specific details were mentioned.

Although the system has more than 16 GB of memory, the ASUS has not confirmed the exact capacity or whether it is faster than 6400 MT/s. The device will also feature a newly redesigned joystick, revised triggers and bumpers and will be heavier.

The SD card slot has been moved further away from the air vent, but the ASUS did not admit that the original device had thermal problems, he simply stated that this change was dictated by the new motherboard and the design of the ROG Ally X.
