  • Survey results summary

When we conducted a survey to find out what kind of reviews of manga apps people use as reference, we found that1st place is “Number of free works”was.

We will also introduce other items in ranking format.

The number one item was the number of free works.

After 2nd place, “large number of genres and works” and “ease of use” followed, and “number of members” came in 7th place.

  • 1st place: Number of free works

・You won’t know if manga is interesting until you try reading it, so there are many works that you can sample for free, and it’s much more satisfying to be able to choose the work you really want to read. (Female in her 30s)

・Although having a large number of works is important, I want to pay for the ones I find truly interesting, so I’d be happier if there were more works that I could start reading for free. (Male in his 30s)

・Because I want to see as many interesting manga as possible in the same app, I try to choose manga apps that offer free trial reading. (Female in her 30s)

The first place is “number of free works”.

After all, it’s better to read a lot for free than to pay.

  • 2nd place: large number of genres and works

・If the manga you want to read is not available, whether free or paid, there is no point in using the app, and it will be a waste. (Female in her 20s)

・I want to see if I can read the currently popular manga, if there are any manga I want to see, and if there are many past works, I want to see them as much as possible. I think the more there are, the more attractive the manga app will be. (Female in her 20s)

・Although major works are included in most manga apps, it is difficult to find minor works, so I think it is better to have more works. (Male in his 40s)

2nd place was “large number of genres and works”.

It is also important to know whether there is a manga you want to read and how much manga you are interested in.

  • 3rd place: Ease of use

・Ease of use is important because if you can search, you won’t be able to look at it in your spare time if you can’t operate it so you can quickly find what you’re interested in. (Female in her 40s)

・I’m not the type to read a lot of manga, so I first look for the manga I want to read. Try several free apps that have the manga you want to read, and decide on an app after considering the total price, readability, and ease of use. (Male over 50s)

・The manga app I used before was slow and difficult to read, so I wanted something that was easier to read. (Male in his 30s)

  • 4th place: Fun

・Most of the time I decided to download a manga app because I saw an advertisement for an interesting manga on social media. (Female in her 20s)

・If there are no interesting manga, there will be fewer opportunities to watch them. I think it’s better to have something that makes you want to read what happens next. Also, it would be good if there were no bias towards genres, and the illustrations had a variety of touches. , (Male in his 40s)

・I often start with the manga I wanted to read first. From there, check to see if there are many genres that seem interesting and interesting. (Male in his 40s)

  • 5th place: readability

・For example, even if there are works that are cheap or free, it is not good for your mental health if they are difficult to read, so I would like to emphasize readability. (Female in her 40s)

– Check readability through reviews. This is because unless you have actually used it, you won’t know how easy it is to read. (Female 50s and up)

・It’s easier to decide whether or not you want to read a particular work by seeing the impressions of someone who actually read the manga, so I use it as a reference. (Female in her 30s)

  • 5th place: Fee

・If the cost is low, you can watch manga of various genres, and even if it’s not interesting, it’s easy to give up because the cost is low. (Male in his 40s)

・Basically, I would like to keep manga on hand in paper form. For this reason, I feel that manga apps are a place to “try out” and get an opportunity to purchase them, and I don’t want to spend a lot of money on them. We believe that it is important to find a way to lower the price per book. (Male in his 30s)

・In order to continue for a long time, you can register with peace of mind at reasonable pricing. Also, it would be better if there were no restrictions on the regular course (female in her 30s)

  • 7th place: Number of members

・Works that are appreciated by many people are often not wasted because there is a low chance of losing them. Apps with a large number of members have many comments, which can be helpful. (Male in his 40s)

We were ranked 7th in terms of number of members.

Some people said that their choice depends on how many people are using it.

  • summary

When we conducted a survey of 100 people,42.0% of all respondents answered “number of free works”was.

Also, the reason for my answer is,There’s nothing better than reading it for free,You won’t know what kind of work it is until you read it.There were many opinions like this.

It’s better to read as much as possible without paying.

Why not use this as a reference when choosing a manga app?
