Starting today, May 10th (Friday), the third batch of Happy Set “Tomica'' and Happy Set “Sanrio Characters'' will be available at McDonald's nationwide (excluding some stores). For the 3rd edition, you can receive one randomly from the 1st and 2nd editions.

“Tomica” is a minicar developed by Takara Tomy. It was released in 1970 during the Tommy era as Japan's first palm-sized domestic die-cast minicar series. To date, more than 1,140 car models have been released, and cumulative sales have exceeded 725 million units (as of April 2023). It is now synonymous with Japanese minicars, loved by three generations of parents and children.

Tomica, which is very popular every year, will be available in the Happy Set this year as well. The Happy Set “Tomica'' includes all working cars such as the “Hino Ladder Fire Engine (Morita Super Gyro Ladder)'' and “Toyota Crown Patrol Car,'' as well as the “Toyota GR Corolla'' in gold with an original McDonald's design. A total of 9 types of lineup, 8 types and 1 secret toy.

You can play by thinking about the structure and function of the car while driving it by hand and moving the mechanisms unique to working cars. Opening and closing doors and bonnets, extending ladders, etc., while playing with devices, increases awareness of shapes and spaces. “Pretend play” using ambulances and patrol cars helps students learn about fire and police departments through the role of working vehicles. This will foster social skills that allow students to think about various types of work.

The next happy set “Sanrio Characters” to be introduced is a very popular character toy created in collaboration with the top winning characters of the Sanrio character popularity voting project “Sanrio Character Award”.

The first edition featured four types of cooking goods, and the second edition included four types of outing goods and one secret toy. Children can learn about lifestyle habits while having fun by playing cooking games using Cinnamoroll rice presses and Pompompurin juicer cups, combing their hair with Kuromi hair combs, and grooming themselves with Little Twin Stars compact mirrors. “Pretend play'' such as cooking and preparing for an outing will help children think about work procedures and develop social skills to act in accordance with social rules.
