New trailer for Teasing Master Takagi-san’s live-action film

A TOHO began showing this new trailer for the live-action film adaptation of the manga Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Teasing Master Takagi-san) Sōichirō Yamamoto. In the video we can hear the theme “Haruka” (Far Away) by Aimer and below is a new promotional image.

The live-action film Teasing Master Takagi-san will premiere on May 31st, but don’t forget that before that, on March 26th, a live-action series will premiere on Netflix.

The film tells an original story that takes place 10 years after the high school setting of the original manga.

The direction is Rikiya Imaizumi (Hōzuki-san Chi no Aneki live-action, Chihiro-san, Just Only Love) who is also writing the screenplay together with Tomoki Kanazawa (Sanctuary, Sabakan) and Jun Hagimori (Sabakan).

The manga of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (Takagi-san, the Master of Teasing) began publication in 2013.

The anime adaptation’s first season premiered in January 2018 and its second season premiered in July 2019. The third season premiered in January 2022 and an anime film premiered in June 2022.

The story revolves around Nishikata, a high school student who suffered humiliation due to the teasing of Takagi, the girl who sits next to him. Since then, he has promised to one day do the same to her and succeed in teasing her.
