Nakamura Shugo: “If this is cut out into a short video, the police will come to my house” – A hilarious “famous quote” will pop up in “Seiyuu to Yoasobi Sat[Okamoto Nobuhiko x Nakamura Shugo]#5”!

ABEMA aired “A Night Out with Voice Actors Saturday[Okamoto Nobuhiko x Nakamura Shugo]#5” on its Anime LIVE Channel from 10pm to 11:30pm on Saturday, May 18th.

“Night Out with Voice Actors” is the first and only ABEMA original daily program in the industry in which popular voice actors team up to host every Monday through the weekend.

Titled “Detective Shugo vs. Wise King Nobuhiko – The Ultimate Showdown of High IQ Voice Actors,” the show featured two high IQ voice actors, Okamoto, also known as “Wise King Nobuhiko” – an amateur 3rd dan in shogi – and Nakamura, also known as “Detective Shugo,” who is able to immediately guess when a prank is about to begin on the show – taking on a brain quiz and having fun.

“Great Detective Sougo” versus amateur 3rd Dan shogi player “Wise King Nobuhiko” take on difficult quiz questions for the title of “High IQ Voice Actor”!

In episode 5, titled “Great Detective Shugo vs. Wise King Nobuhiko – The Ultimate Showdown of High IQ Voice Actors,” two high IQ voice actors, Okamoto, also known as “Wise King Nobuhiko” and an amateur 3rd dan shogi player, and Nakamura, also known as “Great Detective Shugo,” who immediately notices when a prank is about to begin on the show, will compete in a battle of wits.

Nakamura then declared war, saying, “I'm sorry, Nobu-san, today we're enemies. Let's go head to head.” Okamoto said, “It's a shock,” but added, “It'll be easier in the future if we do it once somewhere,” and “We'll expose each other's strengths.” Okamoto and Nakamura were also delighted when they heard that the winner of this battle would be given sushi as a reward.

I was finally ready to take on the challenge.

The two first took on the challenge of “High IQ! Mystery Solving Quiz.” The rules were simple: answer five questions in a quick press, and the person who got the most right wins. However, the questions were difficult and the two had a hard time. But gradually Nakamura, like “Great Detective Sougo,” started giving correct answers one after another, and won the show. When he performed his improvised pose, “IQ!”, Okamoto responded with a sharp “Lame!”, causing the studio to erupt in laughter.

Afterwards, the winner Nakamura, who had eaten his reward of horse mackerel sushi, made a comment that showed his high IQ, saying, “Wow, I can see the beginning of the universe… the Big Bang,” to which Okamoto replied with a big laugh, “That's so stupid! (laughs).” Their perfect chemistry further livened up the studio.

Next, they took on the “High IQ Talk and NG Word Game,” in which the winner is the one who gets the other person to say the most NG words within the time limit. The showdown started with the viewers being informed that Okamoto's NG words are “What does that mean?”, “Western?”, “I love money”, and “IQ”, while Nakamura's NG words are “I don't know what you're talking about”, “Silly!”, “I'm from Okinawa”, and “Rock”.

Nakamura, who wanted Okamoto to say “I love money,” asked, “What do you like besides food?” Okamoto replied, “Hmm, what is it… meat?” Nakamura was also confused by this too-natural answer, commenting, “You said other than food, so…” “Do you think I meant meat, Nobu-san?” Okamoto burst out laughing.

Nakamura then takes up the challenge, saying, “Recently, I've been able to open my elbows, and when I do, about 80 little fox-like things come out,” and “They dance with me, and then I eat a cherry pie, and then…” and he leaves Okamoto confused with his mysterious talk.

Unable to bear it any longer, Okamoto asked, “What are you talking about?”, but Nakamura, though bursting out in laughter, continued, “Then a horde of crabs crossed the ocean to Europe… it was the first time,” once again confusing Okamoto with his incoherent talk. Okamoto retorted, “Is that the kind of story someone with a high IQ would tell?” However, Nakamura paid no attention to Okamoto's retort and continued with a big smile, “In the end, my mom's cherry pie was the best!”

Okamoto was so confused that he muttered, “Ooon!? Pardon!?” and “Look, can I seriously say that? I don't know what you're saying.”

Not to be outdone, Nakamura's talk left Okamoto confused, and in an attempt to win, Okamoto asked Nakamura frankly, “Where are you from?”, trying to get her to say the taboo word “from Okinawa”. However, Nakamura made a fine play by answering “Okinawa”. However, when Okamoto asked, “What's your IQ? In numbers?”, she accidentally said the taboo word “IQ”, saying, “I just ate blue fish sushi and maxed it out, so it's about 750,000. About 750,000 is my IQ.”

When the time came to announce the results, Okamoto asked, “Was it the West?”, and Nakamura replied with a blush, “That's why I talked about cherry pie…” Okamoto seemed frustrated, saying, “I was shocked! I wanted to say (the West)!”

Nakamura said, “I was saying some things that didn't make sense at one point,” “Like, my elbow was open, and a bunch of foxes came out…,” “If that was cut out into a short (video), the police would come to my house,” and “This guy is crazy,” causing the studio to erupt in laughter at his sharp remarks.

Okamoto was victorious in the final match by successfully getting Nakamura to say “IQ,” and enjoyed the long-awaited sushi.

In addition, Okamoto and Nakamura also took on the challenge of “Super Sour Citric Acid Juice Doubt” and “Electric Ball Movement Doubt,” a game in which a ladle is used to move a ball while a low-frequency massager is attached to the arm.
