“Mashle” is an anime based on the manga of the same name by Komoto Hajime, which was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by Shueisha) and concluded in July 2023. Set in a magical world where magic is taken for granted, the story is an “abnormal magical fantasy” in which the main character, Mash Burndead, who cannot use magic, aims to become a “Divine Awakener,” the top of the magic school, with his well-trained muscles and power.
The comics have sold over 10 million copies in total, and the first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2023, and the second season from January to March 2024.
The anime sequel was announced at the TV anime “Mashle” special event “Mash Burndead and the Cream-Colored Research – A Study in Cream -” held on the 26th. The preview video was shown, and the venue was filled with loud cheers.
