Live-action film of the manga We Who Know Nothing of Love announced

It was announced today with the trailer that you can see above that on August 23rd, a live-action film adaptation of the manga will debut in Japanese cinemas. Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa (We Who Know Nothing of Love) by Minami Mizuno.

With direction from Mai Sakai (live-action by Utsukushii kare, Koi no Tsuki), the script is Haruka Okita (live-action from Come Kiss Me at 0:00 AM, Dekinai Futari) and in the cast we find:

• Airu Kubozuka as Naohiko Bessho
• Ryūsei Ōnishi as Eiji Aihara
• Nagisa Saitō as Koharu Fujimura
• Riko as Izumi Shiosaki
• Soya Igari as Taichi Senami
• Sara Shida as Mizuho Ikezawa

Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa (We Who Know Nothing of Love) began to be published in Bessatsu Margaret as a one-shot in January 2017 and began serialization in June of that same year. The manga ended in 2021 with Shueisha releasing its 11th and final volume in June 2021.

Synopsis of Koi o Shiranai Boku-tachi wa

The story follows Eiji and Naohiko, two high school students who have been friends since high school. Their lives change when Izumi, Eiji’s childhood friend, transfers to school. Eiji has had secret feelings for Izumi since they were young, but never said anything about them. But Naohiko then confesses her love for Izumi, and the two begin dating.

Mizuno released your manga Nijiiro Days (Rainbow Days) in the February 2012 issue of Bessatsu Margaret, and gave the work an end in March 2017. Shueisha published the 15th and final volume in April 2017.

In January 2016, an anime series adaptation premiered by the studio Production Reed and a live-action film premiered in 2017.
