[Kinnikuman]Main visuals and seven new cast members of the Perfect Superhuman Ancestor Arc announced!

The main visual for the TV anime “Kinnikuman” Perfect Chojin Ancestor Arc, which will begin airing on July 7, 2024, as well as seven new cast members and detailed broadcast information, have been announced.

The original Kinnikuman manga was written by Yudetamago (original scenario writer Shimada Takashi and illustrations Nakai Yoshinori) and began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (Shueisha) in 1979.

Currently, it is being serialized in “Weekly Playboy” and “Shuupure NEWS” (both published by Shueisha). The series is a hugely popular comic that has sold over 77 million copies in total, with the latest volume, volume 84, currently on sale.
The story is about Kinnikuman, a clumsy and dim-witted dropout superhuman from Planet Kinnikuman, who, through hard work, friendship and victory, eventually grows into the strongest man in the world of superhuman fighting.The anime began airing in 1983, and the popular Kinkeshi series became a huge hit, selling over 180 million units.
The new series will be a continuation of the Battle for the Kinniku Planet Throne arc that was previously broadcast in the anime, and will be produced by Production IG based on the Perfect Superhuman Ancestors arc, one of the most popular arcs from the original work. The director will be Satou Haru, the series composition will be Fukami Makoto, the character design will be Marufuji Hiroki, the music will be by Takanashi Koji, the voice of Kinnikuman will be Miyano Mamoru, and the voices of Kinniku Mayumi and Prince Kamehame will be played by Kamiya Akira.

The first episode to be aired will be Episode 0, which will feature a number of scenes from the previous series leading up to the Perfect Superhuman Ancestor Arc, including the monster-fighting arc, the Superhuman Olympics arc, the Seven Devil Superhumans arc, the Golden Mask arc, the Dream Superhuman Tag Team arc, and the Battle for the Kinniku Planet Throne arc, which will be newly depicted in the Reiwa era version of Kinnikuman for the first time in about 30 years.

And today, the main visual was released.

The newly released key visual depicts a grand three-way conflict between the righteous superheroes Kinnikuman, Terryman, and the seven evil superheroes including Buffalo Man, and the perfect superheroes Strong the Budou.

In addition, seven cast members have been announced to play the Perfect Superhumans who will be key to the story of the Perfect Superhuman Ancestors arc.
Otsuka Akio plays Strong the Martial Artist, a large man who exudes an especially intimidating presence even among the Perfect and Infinite Army, and who has a special skill called “The Tragedy of Zero” that allows him to neutralize his opponents' superhuman powers. The cast includes Kobayashi Chikahiro as Max Radial, who unleashes a brutal attack in which he presses his opponent against giant tires on both of his shoulders and spins them at high speed, cutting through the opponent's skin; Nojima Kenji as Turbo Man, a perfectionist who considers external matches to be a mission and whose greatest value is to complete the victory smoothly; Hiyama Nobuyuki as Dharma Man, a member of the Perfect Infinite Army who has the title of “Full Fang”; Tomioka Yusuke as Crash Man, whose greatest special move is to wrap around and crush the opponent in front of him by closing all of his “Iron Gloves”; Odaka Yoshiyasu as Marlin Man, a half-fish superhuman who specializes in underwater combat and uses his long, sharp upper jaw like a marlin to aim at the heart of his opponent and penetrate it in one go, killing him; and Ishige Shoya as Peek-a-Boo, who, as his childlike appearance suggests, is unable to even speak before a match, but has an incredible learning ability and is able to observe his opponent's movements during the match and surpass them at breakneck speed.
Additionally, enthusiastic comments have arrived from the seven newly announced cast members of Perfect Supermen.

Details of the broadcast information for this work have also now been announced.

It will be broadcast on the “Agaru Anime” slot on 28 CBC/TBS affiliates nationwide from July 7th, every Sunday from 11:30pm. Additionally, it will be broadcast on BS11 from July 12th, every Friday from 6:30pm, and on Animax from July 27th, every Saturday from 9pm. It has also been announced that it will be available exclusively on Netflix for unlimited streaming. The latest episode will be updated every Monday from July 8th.
