“Flowers and Dreams Exhibition” opens tomorrow! 200 original drawings including Glass Mask, Furuba, and Yona of the Dawn will be released, as well as photo spots

The original art exhibition for the girls' manga magazine “Hana to Yume'' (Hakusensha) “50th Anniversary Hana to Yume Exhibition'' will be held at Tokyo City View from May 24th to June 30th. Prior to this, a preview was held today, the 23rd.

The exhibition, with the keyword “party” in commemoration of the 50th anniversary, aims to allow people of all ages to enjoy the world of shojo manga that “Hana to Yume” has pioneered, and the thrills and emotions it has delivered to its readers. You can enjoy the one-of-a-kind world of “Hana to Yume” through the display of precious original drawings and freebies from the many works that have graced the magazine, as well as experience corners and photo spots.

The exhibition will feature a large collection of masterpieces that have colored the history of “Hana to Yume,” including “Glass Mask,” “Patalliro!,” “Fruits Basket,” “Akatsuki no Yona,” “For You in Full Bloom,” and “Baby and Me,” as well as approximately 200 original drawings by 74 artists.

The highlight is the cover illustrations from the memorable first series of both “Glass Mask'' and “Sukeban Keiji'', which began serialization at the same time in the first issue of 1976. From “Fruits Basket'', the illustration that decorated the cover when the final episode was published will be exhibited.

The magazine was first published in May 1974.

Published on the 5th and 20th of every month, it is a unique comic magazine with a lineup of popular works that lead the comic world, and has produced many masterpieces such as “Glass Mask,” “Patalliro!,” “Animal Doctor,” “Please Save My Earth,” “Baby and Me,” “Fruits Basket,” “For You in Full Bloom,” and “Akatsuki no Yona.”
