Fans ask Netflix to save Yuri!!! on Ice

Many fans were disappointed with the news that the anime film Yuri!!! on Ice: Ice Adolescence (Yuri!!! on Ice Gekijō-ban: Ice Adolescence) was cancelled.

The anime series has gained many fans who have now joined the Change to a petition asking the Netflix to save Yuri!!! on Iceacknowledging that the streaming platform may be interested in continuing the anime.

In less than a week, the petition attracted the attention of fans of Yuri!!! on Ice who are not willing to let the anime fall into obscurity, gathering more than 10 thousand signatures. Find the petition here.

This petition is for Netflix to watch us again and save Yuri!!! In ICE of Oblivion, by obtaining the rights to a second season or a film, we will continue to make history.

Yuri!!! on Ice It was a phenomenon that became the most watched anime in Europe and America in autumn 2016.

The animation for the anime series is by the studio MAPPAthe direction is Sayo Yamamoto (Lupin III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine, Michiko & Hatchin), the story is by Mitsuro Kubo (Moteki, 3.3.7 Byooshi) and the character design is by Tadashi Hiramatsu (Parasyte -the maxim-).

The story revolves around Yūri Katsuki, who represented all of Japan’s hopes of winning the Gran Prix Finale ice skating competition, but suffered a crushing defeat. Discouraged, he returns home with thoughts of giving up but ends up crossing paths with Victor Nikiforov, who has won the world skating championship five times, and Yuri Plisetsky, a young Russian who can already defeat other skaters with more experience. Victor and the two Yuris are going on an adventure to win the figure skating Grand Prix series.
