“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” Episode 5 Synopsis and Scene Cuts Released: Flexibility Training with Mitsuri

Preview scene cuts and a synopsis for episode 5 of the new “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” anime series, “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pillar Training Arc,” titled “Even if it means eating a demon…”, have been released.

In episode 5, thanks to Tanjiro's efforts, Muichiro and the Demon Slayer Corps members have become closer through training.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Pillar Training Arc” is an episode that spans volumes 15 and 16 of the original manga, and tells the story of Tanjiro and his friends receiving training from the Pillars, the highest-ranking swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, in order to become even stronger.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is based on the manga of the same name that was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2016 to May 2020, and is a popular work that has sold over 150 million copies in total.

Set in the Taisho era in a world inhabited by man-eating demons, the story follows Tanjiro Kamado, a young boy whose family was killed by demons, who joins the Demon Slayer Corps and sets out on a journey to slay the demon that killed his family and turn his younger sister Nezuko, who has also become a demon, back into a human.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019, garnering a lot of popularity and becoming a social phenomenon. The movie “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train,” which is a sequel to the final episode of the anime, was released in October 2020 and became a huge hit, grossing over 40 billion yen in Japan. The second season of the TV anime, “Yukaku-hen,” which continues the story of the movie, will begin airing in December 2021.

The third season, “Swordsmith Village Arc,” a continuation of the second season, began airing in April 2023.
