The popular human and non-human drama “Darwin Incident'' serialized in Kodansha's monthly comic magazine Afternoon has been decided to be made into a TV anime. A super teaser visual was also released.
The total number of copies of the series, including the latest seventh volume of the comic, has exceeded 1.6 million, and it has swept all the manga awards, including the Grand Prize of the 2022 Manga Awards, 10th place in the Men's Edition of the 2022 This Manga is Amazing! Award for Excellence in the Manga Division of the 25th Japan Media Arts Festival, 2nd place in the Recommended Comics 2022 Chosen by Comics Department Heads of Publishers, and the Asia section of the BD Gest'Arts held at the 50th Angoulême International Comics Festival in France, and is highly popular not only in Japan but also overseas.
Today, along with the release of volume 7 of the comic, it was announced that this work will be made into a TV anime. A super teaser visual was also released along with the animation announcement, and the main characters, Charlie and Lucy, are finished in pop colors that follow the cover image of the original comic.
