[Crayon Shin-chan]Ho-ho-hi! Me and Nana have become Ania

Nohara Shinnosuke and the little dinosaur Nana, who appear in the movie “Crayon Shin-chan: My Dinosaur Diary,” scheduled to be released on Friday, August 9, 2024, will appear in Takara Tomy's animal figure “Ania.”
The gift set “ANIA 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary' Amazing! Dinosaur Battle Set” and three individual figures “ANIA 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary'” will be available sequentially from Saturday, July 20, 2024 at toy specialty stores, toy sections of department stores and mass retailers nationwide, some movie theaters, online shops, Takara Tomy's official shopping site “Takara Tomy Mall,” and other locations.

“Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary” is an animated film based on Yoshito Usui's manga “Crayon Shin-chan.” It follows the adventures of the storm-bringing kindergartener, Shinnosuke Nohara.
With the summer vacation just around the corner, a huge theme park that brings dinosaurs back to life in modern times, “Dino's Island,” opens in Tokyo! The world is in a big dinosaur boom, and it's dinosaur fever! It's going to be an exciting summer! Meanwhile, on the banks of Kasukabe River, Shiro meets a small dinosaur named “Nana.” Shinnosuke and his friends spend the summer together, gaining “precious memories” and “a summer of growth.” However, Nana has a big secret.

“Ania” is a series of palm-sized animal figures that can be moved and played with, which Takara Tomy has been selling since 2013.

It can be enjoyed by parents and children together as a “3D animal encyclopedia” that stimulates children's intellectual curiosity to “know the characteristics and types of animals.” Based on the concept of “animal figures that can be moved and played with” rather than just displayed, it has been well received for its palm-sized, movable characteristic parts, and detailed design, and has shipped more than 20 million units both in Japan and overseas (series total: as of April 2024).
The packaging is designed to match the company's miniature car “Tomica,” and like “Tomica,” the regular lineup is not influenced by the film, so it has become a standard item in toy stores. There are also sometimes joint projects between “Tomica,” “Plarail,” and “Ania.”

The gift set “ANIA 'Crayon Shin-chan Movie: Our Dinosaur Diary' Amazing! Dinosaur Battle Set” includes Shin-chan and Nana, the little dinosaur that appears in the movie, as well as the popular dinosaurs Tyrannosaurus, Brachiosaurus, and Pteranodon. It comes with a background diorama of a scene from the movie, so you can play freely with your imagination while remembering the excitement of the movie.

The single figure “ANIA 'Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: My Dinosaur Diary'” is a set of two figures: a dinosaur (Velociraptor/Triceratops/Spinosaurus) and either Shin-chan or Nana.

Both the gift set and the individual items come bundled with some of the most popular dinosaurs in the “Ania” series, and the dinosaurs are meticulously painted down to the smallest details to recreate the world of the story, including point painting on the faces and necks of the dinosaurs that appear in the film.

Shin-chan comes with a removable stand, so it can be played with as well as displayed, and the figure has a shape and expression that is characteristic of Shin-chan from the movie. Shin-chan's clothes, including the gift set, recreate the three outfits that appear in the movie.

Since its comic serialization began in 1990, “Crayon Shin-chan” has been a popular character in living rooms of all generations, and “Our Dinosaur Diary” is the 31st film in the “Crayon Shin-chan” movie series. This Ania is packed with the excitement of the film and is an item that allows you to enjoy the world of “Crayon Shin-chan” at home.
