The cosplay event “acosta!@Ikebukuro Sunshine City” was held on May 11th and 12th at Ikebukuro Sunshine City in Tokyo.

The event is held in Ikebukuro, a location with excellent transport access, and is always attended by many cosplayers and photographers from the Kanto area.

In addition to the sunny rooftop plaza, there are plenty of shooting locations within the area, including the pedestrian deck and indoor hall, so you can choose a location that matches the atmosphere of your character. You can also enter the cooperating stores in Sunshine City and Sunshine Street while wearing your cosplay, and enjoy games and food.

This year's “acosta!” was a cheerful spring-like event, with many cosplayers participating in various cosplays. What caught my eye this time were the VTubers of Hololive and Nijisanji, the Chinese games of “Goddess of Victory: NIKKE,'' “Genshin,'' “Collapse: Star Rail,'' and “Blue Archive.'' They continue to appeal to their fans by adding new stories and continuing to stream them, and I think the fact that cosplay costumes are easy to obtain also contributes to their popularity.
