“Collapse: Star Rail” new playable characters “Robin” and “Boot Hill” are now available! Ver.2.2 released on May 8th

HoYoverse has announced that Ver. 2.2 of “Collapse: Star Rail” “Tears are After Awakening” will be released on May 8th (Wednesday). In this update, the story in Pinocony reaches its climax, and along with it, new playable characters “Robin” and “Boothill” will appear.

A sword from hell slices through Clark Filmland’s screen, breaking the family’s promise that “everything is safe.” It seems that there is a secret hidden beneath the peaceful façade that the family has skillfully constructed.

In Ver. 2.2, which will be released soon, the pioneers will encounter a special guest – Dies Domini, the “Harmonia Choir”, who will stand out in the Harmony Ceremony. The pioneers will then take to the battlefield with a new friend – a cool hat – to uncover the mysteries of the Banquet Star and bring Pinocony’s adventures to a perfect end!

In Ver. 2.2, the Settlers continue to explore the dream world of Pinocony and uncover the secrets hidden by the family. The first place you will visit is the mysterious place “Dream Reef”. This area has a unique atmosphere, unlike the luxurious pinochonny dreamscape. Dreamleaf is a place shrouded in mystery, but people can reach it through special methods. On the way to explore new territory, the pioneer unexpectedly reunites with an old friend and together they face an unknown challenge.

At the same time, the “Harmony Ceremony” is just around the corner, and guests from all over the world will gather at Pinocony. Among the many events, the “Sladda (TM) Ceremony Audition” sponsored by Sladda is attracting particular attention. When the bell rings for “The Hour of Hot Sand,” a grand audition begins, delivering the best feast to the people. Pioneers can also participate in auditions with their friends and compete in various stages for the title of Star of the Festival.

If you win the audition, you will get the chance to be the first to enter the main venue of the “Harmony Ceremony” – the Pinocony Grand Theater. The large theater where Robin is scheduled to perform boasts overwhelming grandeur and luxury. Once the ceremony begins, people will flock to the Grand Theater to watch this grand performance that will go down in history!

New characters: “Robin” and “Boothill”

Robin is undoubtedly the brightest star in this performance that everyone is watching. As a galactic songstress, her voice has reached every corner of the universe and she has captivated countless people. ★5 Character Robin is a Tianhuan from Pinocony and is a famous songstress throughout the galaxy.

With the power of “Harmony”, she can send her sweet singing voice to the entire universe and “resonate” with all living things. During the preparations for her ceremony, Robin keenly senses something unusual about Pinocony and investigates it, but she ends up becoming a victim of “death”. The truth hidden behind a series of incidents will gradually be revealed in the main story of Ver.2.2.

During battle, Robin not only heals people’s hearts with his singing voice, but also demonstrates a unique fighting style that utilizes singing. Upon activating her special move, she enters a “concert” state and begins singing a song that inspires her allies. When entering the “Concert” state, allies other than Robin will immediately take action and all allies will receive a buff.

A notable feature is that while in the “concert” state, Robin will deal additional damage to enemies after an ally other than Robin attacks. Additionally, Robin has the ability to resist movement-restricting debuffs, allowing her to take the battlefield with ease.

Another character joining the new frontier is Boothill, a cruising ranger. An optimistic and free-spirited cyborg cowboy who roams the galaxy, Boothill will stop at nothing to punish evil. His flashy actions are meant to attract the attention of the “Star Peace Company” who is the target of his revenge.

Boothill has a unique fighting philosophy. He can strengthen his skills by dueling a single enemy. During a duel, a single enemy will be provoked by Boothill, increasing the damage taken by both players, similar to a duel in a Western movie.

Additionally, when an ally defeats a duel target or defeats a weak point, Boothill gains a stackable buff layer. When Boothill activates his special move, he can apply a physical weakness to the specified enemy, dealing damage and delaying the enemy’s action order.

In addition to new playable characters, “Topaz & Turnip” and “Fugen” will be reprinted in the first and second half of Ver.2.2, respectively. Let’s stand shoulder to shoulder with them once again and defeat the powerful enemies that attack us.

To commemorate the 1st anniversary of the release of “Collapse: Star Rail”, the Star Rail Concert will be simultaneously distributed worldwide on the official YouTube channel at 20:05 on May 1, 2024 (Japan time). Let’s look back on the past year’s galactic journey with exciting music. And Robin’s new album will be released soon. The hit song “If I could protect someone’s hurting heart” will be included, so please look forward to it!
