“Chiikawa Banana Pudding Cake,” a collaboration between the popular character “Chiikawa” and the classic Tokyo souvenir “Tokyo Banana,” will be on sale for a limited time from June 5th to 11th at the Food Stage on the first basement floor of Hankyu Umeda Main Store in Osaka.
This popular sweet, which was released in March this year and sold over 100,000 units in just one week, is now coming to Kansai for the first time.
The sponge cakes are so cute that you'll almost feel bad eating them, and come in six designs, featuring “Chiikawa,” “Hachiware,” and “Usagi.” They are filled with banana pudding, custard, and caramel double cream.
The packaging is an original collaboration limited edition that matches the worldview of “Tokyo Banana”, and the individual packaging features Chiikawa and friends wearing Tokyo Banana headgear with ribbons. The package of 8 pieces includes one random original sticker of “Chiikawa”, “Hachiware”, or “Usagi”. In addition, the paper bag will also have a special design commemorating the collaboration.
