“ABEMA” will be holding a pop-up event for the popular anime “WIND BREAKER” at the SHIBUYA109 store in Tokyo for a limited time starting Friday, June 14th!

“WIND BREAKER” is an anime based on the popular yankee manga by Nii Satoru, which is currently being serialized in the official Weekly Shonen Magazine app “Magazine Pocket” (Kodansha). Sakura Haruka, a first-year high school student, comes from “outside” the city to take the top spot at Furin High School, a school famous for being an extremely bad school. However, she learns that the current Furin High School has been renamed “Boufuurin” and has become a group that protects the city, and fights as a member of that group, creating a heroic legend. This work has been a hot topic, regularly topping the popularity rankings of “Magazine Pocket” and the tankobon has been reprinted repeatedly. The first TV anime will start in April 2024, attracting even more attention.

The pop-up event, which has been confirmed to take place, has the concept of “Protecting Shibuya's nightlife,” and will feature a variety of exhibits set in the neon-lit Shibuya nightlife, as well as the sale of original illustrated goods.

In the newly drawn illustration, eight members of Boufuurin and Shishito Ren, including Sakura Haruka, Nirei Akihiko, Sugishita Kyotaro, Sofang Junhi, Umemiya Hajime, Kaji Ren, Usamiyama Choji, and Togame Jo, appear dressed in street fashion, which is also a part of Shibuya culture. Goods such as “acrylic stands”, “can badges”, “campus boards”, and “tapestry” will be on sale.

In addition to setting up a life-size panel of the original illustration, there will also be a reproduction of the “signboard” held up by Boufurin, and a “Mini Character Mirror Photo Spot” where you can take photos surrounded by mini characters. Please enjoy taking commemorative photos with Boufurin and the Shishigashira Ren members who have come to Shibuya.

In addition, to coincide with the pop-up event, an original visual featuring a newly drawn illustration will be displayed on the exterior wall of the SHIBUYA109 Shibuya store, known as the Cylinder, for a limited time only from June 16th (Sun) to 29th (Sat).
