To commemorate the 25th anniversary of the registration of “Shrines and Temples in Nikko” as a World Heritage Site, “Gunpla” will be dedicated to Nikko Toshogu Shrine! “MG 1/100 Musha Gundam Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu Nanban Dogu Soku Ver.” will be on sale from May 27th

BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division is commemorating the 25th anniversary of Nikko Toshogu's “Shrines and Temples of Nikko” being registered as a World Heritage Site by releasing a new gunpla product “MG 1/100 Musha Gundam Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu Nanban Torso” manufactured and sold by the company. “Gusoku Ver.'' will be dedicated to Nikko Toshogu Shrine and released in May 2024.

“Nikko Toshogu'', a shrine located in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is familiar with plastic models, has been registered as a World Heritage Site as a “Shrines and Temples of Nikko'', and the city is familiar with plastic models, such as hands-on assembly classes using gunpla crafting as problem-solving learning at elementary schools. We will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in 2024.

To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Nikko Toshogu being registered as a World Heritage Site, BANDAI SPIRITS has decided to produce and dedicate a Gunpla model associated with Nikko Toshogu in order to contribute to Nikko City's “regional revitalization using plastic models.”

The gunpla “MG 1/100 Musha Gundam Mk-II Tokugawa Ieyasu Nanban Dogusoku Ver.” is based on the “Nanban Dogusoku (displayed in the Nikko Toshogu Shrine Treasure Room)” which is said to have been worn by Ieyasu Tokugawa during the Battle of Sekigahara. The motifs are colors and helmets. The red of Kusazuri is expressed with a sticker made of washi paper, and the trefoil Aoi family crest is expressed with a glossy sticker.

A dedication ceremony for this product will be held on May 26th (Sunday), after which it will be exhibited at Nikko Toshogu Shrine. In addition, pre-sales will begin on the next day, the 27th (Monday) at 9:00 when the gates open at the Omiki Shojo (on the left after entering Yomeimon Gate). At a later date, we plan to sell them at the official Gunpla facility “THE GUNDAM BASE”, Bandai Namco Group's official mail order site “Premium Bandai”, and other events.
