“Pokemon Sleep” mini-program to be broadcast weekly on Nippon Television starting in June, starring Mario Kuroba

It has been decided that a mini-program called “Good Night Seeds,” based on the sleep game app “Pokemon Sleep,” will be broadcast on Nippon Television (Kanto local) every Sunday from 9:54pm to 10pm starting June 2nd.

Actor Mario Kuroba, who has appeared in many popular stage plays and dramas, will star in his first mini-program, playing the role of “assistant to a doctor researching sleep.”

The story of the show is about a small island where Pokémon and humans live together in harmony. Deep in the forest of the island, there is a unique log house. The person who lives there is Kaimi, an assistant to a professor who studies sleep. He enjoys traveling on adventures and loves music, so his house is always lively with people who want to talk about “sleep”! What kind of conversation will we hear today?

■Comment from Mario Kuroba
–What are your thoughts after finishing the recording?
Kuroba-san) I had a lot of fun recording! This time, we recorded on a CG set, but when I actually watched the footage, I was really happy to see Pikachu behind me and to feel like I was immersed in the world of Pokemon that I've been familiar with since I was a child!

-What story did you have with Pokémon?
Kuroba: The first game I ever bought was Pokémon Red. I can't believe I'm acting with that Pokémon, and I wish I could tell my younger self about it.
–This program covers a lot of different information about sleep, but do you have any night routines that you do before going to sleep?
Kuroba: I try to stretch before going to sleep.

Recently, if I go to bed without stretching, I sometimes wake up with a sore body. Especially during rehearsals and performances, I try to stretch more than I used to before going to bed.
