Ghost in the Shell animation director criticizes modern action scenes

For him, these videos can capture the essence of the action more convincingly.

In contrast, Kise criticized the speed of action scenes in recent anime. According to him, these scenes are so fast that it is difficult to understand what is happening. Furthermore, he commented that the attacks in these scenes lack weight, which detracts from their realism. For Kise, fights in current anime don't look realistic because firstly, no one dies from being hit, which also means they don't look painful.

Kise suggests that the intention behind the art in these scenes is more whimsical than a faithful representation of combat in which opponents test each other. Instead of focusing on authenticity and realism, it seeks to impress with spectacular and exaggerated actions.
