Commemorating the stage adaptation of “Future Boy Conan” A talk show in which Tetsuya Chihara, Yuka Kageyama, and Mugi Kadowaki talk about the world of Inbal Pinto in Harakado

The original anime series “Future Boy Conan'' was aired in April 1978, and Hayao Miyazaki, who was just beginning to rise to prominence, was selected as the director of the television animation series. A thrilling adventure set on a devastated Earth after the final war, where Conan, a fearless wild child, fights against humans who still cling to power. A girl who has the ability to communicate with birds, various flying machines, swarms of insects that can predict abnormalities, etc…It is full of elements that would be inherited in Miyazaki's animation masterpieces that would come later. It is also known as NHK's first anime program, produced to commemorate NHK's 25th anniversary.

This work will be adapted for the stage by Inbaru, who has continued to captivate audiences with his one-of-a-kind spatial productions, including the musical “The Cat Who Lived a Million Times'' and Haruki Murakami's “The Wind-up Bird Chronicle.''・Focus. David Manboeuf, who is talented as an artist in a variety of genres, will also be in charge of the production.

The art set and the eloquence of the body make you feel the heartbeat.

Creative director Tetsuya Chihara, who serves as the MC for this event, was in charge of the promotional visuals for “The Cat That Lived a Million Times” (premiered in 2013, re-performed in 2015), directed, designed and choreographed by Inbal Pinto. “I'm one of those people who was fascinated by the worldview,” he says.

When asked about the appeal of Inbal's creations, Kageyama said, “Although it is a machine, it is a lively art set that you can feel the heartbeat in.'' Kadowaki said, “Dancers are essential to Inbal's work.'' “For example, In the desert scene in “Conan,'' the desert is expressed by dancers, but rather than actually building a sand set, it conveys how eloquent the body is.''

Regarding the creation of this work, which follows The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle and is based on an original work, Kadowaki said, “I believe that the stage play is never a digest version of the original work, so Inbal's work captures the essence of the original work through the bodies of the dancers.'' It feels like it's moving into the world. The art is also Inbal, so the essence is condensed,'' he said, expressing its charm.

Expressing his enthusiasm for the first day, Kageyama said, “Honestly, when I'm in a situation where I have to face a difficult situation alone, or when something happens that I can't do anything about, I just end up giving up in the practice room.'' However, in the actual performance, I want to enjoy myself as Lana and deliver to the audience a piece to help them live tomorrow.'' Kadowaki said, “Inbal's work will leave a lasting impression on both your memory and heart, and will remain with you for the rest of your life.'' I believe there will always be moments like this. I hope you will come and visit the world of Inbal Pinto.”
