BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division has released product information for its new Gunpla model, “Best Mecha Collection 1/144 RX-78-2 Gundam (REVIVAL Ver.).”
◆The original Gunpla “1/144 Gundam” is revived with the theme of “unchanging form and definite evolution”!
This product is a revival kit of the original Gundam model, “1/144 Gundam,” released in 1980.
The form and range of motion of the joints are faithful to that of the original, while the 1/144 scale incorporates all of the technology that has been cultivated over the 40 years since its release, such as Iropla, touch gates, and snap fits.
The shape of each part has been carefully considered, and the refined parts configuration has allowed the color coding of the entire body to be reproduced in detail. Also noteworthy is the structural design, where the seams between the parts are not visible from the front.
In terms of armament, in addition to a beam rifle and shield, the kit comes with two beam sabers of different lengths, as well as one attached to the backpack.
The package image also includes a stylish message that reads, “This kit does not include Amuro. However, it does contain evidence of the technology and evolution that has been cultivated over the past 45 years.”
