STUDIO ZOON Editor-in-Chief Mitsuhiro Muramatsu to be Mentor! Exploring further possibilities of vertical reading manga, NEXT “Webtoon Division” starts accepting submissions on 5/31 (Fri)
– All in one Anime and manga new release updates, New anime release, 2024 animes, upcoming anime, trending anime, and lots more!!.

All you need to do to apply is submit a portfolio. Five people (groups) will be selected from the applicants to participate in a workshop, receive direct feedback from Muramatsu, and then submit a one-shot work. The work will be published on Ameba Manga, and the best work will receive a prize of 100,000 yen. For more details, see the application requirements below. Please read the notes and apply. We will select 5 applicants (groups) from the applications. A Webtoon workshop will be held for these 5 applicants (groups) as follows:

① July 10th (Wednesday): Workshop participants' presentations
A notification will be sent to the email address you provided when applying.
(Please note that only those who pass the exam will be notified.)

② July 28th (Sunday): Workshop held

④ Saturday, August 31: Social gathering
The final works by the workshop participants will be announced, along with one winning work selected from among them. In addition, a networking event will be held for the mentors, workshop participants, and applicants who did not participate in the workshop.

-Those who want to further improve their own work through discussions with mentors and other participants

3. Submit your work (or the URL of your portfolio) using the “Work Submission Form.”

Mitsuhiro Muramatsu, Editor-in-Chief of STUDIO ZOON
He joined Kodansha as a new graduate and worked as an editor for Weekly Shonen Magazine, Monthly Shonen Rival, Young Magazine, Morning, and other publications. He produced hits such as The Middle Management Chronicles of Tonogawa and Food Humanity, and was also involved in the launch of Kodansha's manga website Comic Days. He left the company in 2023 and joined STUDIO ZOON, a content studio run by CyberAgent. He actively promotes his work as a manga editor on his own social media accounts, contributing to the further development of the industry.

What is STUDIO ZOON?

A vertical manga content studio run by CyberAgent, Inc. Based on the concept of “Fun for creators, writers, and readers,” they value the artists above all else and have established a production system for weekly serialization by setting up an in-house editing team and coloring team. They are currently developing 10 works, including “MQ” and “T×T.”

If the applicant is a minor, be sure to obtain parental consent. In the case of a group, parental consent is required for not only the representative but also all minor members.

*Entries must be original works by the applicant.
*Only works that have no objections from third parties regarding intellectual property rights, ownership, or any other rights may be submitted. The organizers and other related parties shall not be held responsible for any claims, objections, or other right assertions from third parties regarding the rights of the submitted works, and the applicant shall resolve such claims at his/her own responsibility and expense.
*If there is a risk that the images or illustrations used in the work may infringe on the copyright, portrait rights, trademark rights, design rights, or other rights held by a third party, it is the applicant's responsibility to obtain the necessary permission before submitting the work.
*If it becomes necessary to make arrangements regarding matters other than those stated in the application guidelines, these will be decided at the discretion of the organizer. If an applicant does not agree to the contents, he/she may withdraw their application, but all costs incurred in the application will not be refunded.
* Anything that violates public order and morals or other laws and regulations, contains slander, or infringes copyright or other third party rights will not be subject to judging. Furthermore, if it is discovered that any of the winners have violated these conditions, the award will be revoked, even after the awards have been announced.
*If any acts that promote the activities of antisocial forces are discovered, the work will not be considered for judging. Even if such acts are discovered after the awards have been announced, the award will be revoked without notice. Furthermore, no compensation will be paid for any damages that may arise in such cases.
*The organizers will announce information about the winning and outstanding works, as well as the names and ages of their creators, in various media and websites, video distribution, social media, events, etc. that they issue, and may also provide this information to the media in press releases, etc. The organizers may also use this information for their public relations activities. Please note that when announcing the winning and outstanding works, the organizers may use the portraits of the creators.
*Personal information will be used to accept and respond to inquiries about submitted works, notify the results of the screening, and provide information on other matters deemed necessary for other operations, as well as to inform you of future events.
