Square Enix Holdings announced on Tuesday, April 30th that it expects to record approximately 22.1 billion yen in losses on content disposal in the fiscal year ending March 2024.
At the company’s board of directors meeting on March 27, the company resolved to “review the development policy for HD game titles,” with the aim of selecting and concentrating development resources in light of the various changes in the environment surrounding the group.
In response to this policy, as a result of scrutinizing the pipeline that was under development, it was estimated that approximately 22.1 billion yen would be recorded as content disposal loss.
