Capcom has announced that the fourth Year 1 additional character for the fighting game Street Fighter 6, Akuma, will be released on May 22nd (Wednesday). At the same time, we are also releasing “game play footage”.

Akuma, the legendary man whose soul and body were reduced to nothing in his pursuit of strength, is finally joining the action in Strike Fighter 6. He appears in “World Tour,” “Battle Hub,” and “Fighting Ground,” and in World Tour, like other characters, you can learn a number of techniques with “Satsui no Hado” by deepening your bonds with him.

While there are many techniques that fans are familiar with, such as “Gohadouken” and “Asura Senku,” there are also new techniques such as “Vajra Burning Fire,” which expand the range of aerial combat by increasing walking speed and reach. Along with the announcement, the great technique “Shun Gokusatsu” was also unveiled.

■Gohadouken
A technique that sends energy bullets forward. Effective as a means of attacking from a distance.

■Vajra Burning Fire
A thrust wrapped in flame that quickly closes the gap. It is effective for exploiting the gaps in your opponent’s attacks and as part of a combo.

■Asura Senku
A technique that allows you to move quickly while wearing an illusion. You can choose the direction of movement by inputting forward and backward inputs when activated.

■Slayer Gou Hado
Akuma’s SA1. A technique that concentrates waves of murderous intent and fires high-speed bullets.

It has high power as a projectile super art.

■Breath of Heaven
Akuma’s SA2. A technique that turns waves of murderous intent into flames and shoots them into the opponent. When the opponent you blow away reaches the edge of the stage, you can follow up.

■Magazine
Akuma no SA3. Use your strength to overwhelm your opponent and unleash a devastating blow.

It has a quick release from special attack cancels, and is effective when incorporated into combos.

■Shun Gokusatsu
A secret technique that delivers numerous blows in an instant. If activated in close contact with an opponent on the ground, it will be an attack that cannot be avoided.
◆The long-awaited “overall battle balance adjustment” will also be delivered on the same day as Akuma!
A new stage with Akuma, “Enma’s Hollow,” and Akuma’s “Outfit 2,” which pays homage to the costume first released in “Super Street Fighter II X,” will also appear.

Additionally, in conjunction with Akuma’s participation update, “Outfit 3” for all Year 1 characters including “Rashid”, “AKI”, “Ed”, and “Akuma” will be distributed*. Furthermore, the long-awaited overall battle balance update will be released on the same day as Akuma.

*Year 1 Ultimate Pass holders will automatically receive these costumes, including colors 1-10, on Wednesday, May 22nd.
