The synopsis and scene cuts for the second episode of the TV anime “Kaiju No. 8” (TV Tokyo) have been released.

In the second episode, “The Monster that Kills the Monster,” Kafka, who was parasitized by a mysterious small monster and transformed into one himself, flees from the hospital with Reno, fearing that he will be subdued by the defense forces.

At that time, they discover a parent and child being attacked by a monster. Kafka stands up to the monster, regardless of the danger, and swings his fist with all his might.

“Kaiju No. 8” is set in a world where disasters (= monsters) ruthlessly invade everyday life, and Japan has one of the highest incidences of monsters in the world. The main character, Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man who takes on the job of cleaning up the carcasses of monsters subjugated by the Japanese Defense Force, is pursuing his dream of becoming a “defense force” when his body is turned into a monster by a mysterious creature and is given a code by the Japanese Defense Force. A story about becoming a being called “Monster No. 8”.

When the series started on Shonen Jump + in July 2020, it became the fastest story in the history of the app to exceed 30 million views. It has become a signature work with cumulative circulation of over 13 million comics.

In addition, it has been attracting attention among manga fans, winning the grand prize in the “Web Manga Category” of the user voting project “Next Coming Manga Awards 2021” announced on August 24, 2021, and has been selected as the 1st comic of 2020. The volume achieved the number 1 sales spot for the year.
