What is “Hatsune Miku”?

Developed by Crypton Future Media, Inc., “singing synthesis software” allows anyone to input lyrics and a melody to make the software sing. Since its launch on August 31, 2007, many creators have created works in various genres, including music, illustrations, videos, and CG. The character “Hatsune Miku” depicted on the packaging is a 16-year-old female virtual singer with distinctive blue-green twin tails. In 2023, when she turns 16, a special birthday that coincides with her set age, the project “Hatsune Miku Happy 16th Birthday -Dear Creators-” was implemented to look back on her history and foster the future of creative culture.
