“EVO Japan 2024” was held at Ariake GYM-EX in Tokyo for three days on April 27th, 28th, and 29th. It is Japan's largest fighting game festival, similar to EVOLUTION, which is held in Las Vegas and focuses solely on fighting games.

Focusing on tournaments held on the main stage, e-sports team sales, hardware trials such as Akecon and Leverless, and new releases such as “2XKO'', “Fatal Fury City of the Wolves'', and “Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising''. Many famous streamers and cosplayers visited, with lots of content including fighting game demos, and there were some surprises when we passed each other at the venue and wondered, “Is that famous person there?”

In particular, many cosplayers participated, from official cosplayers from each booth to regular cosplayers. A cosplay contest was also held during the event, and “Street Fighter” Blanka cosplayer Josui Chiba (X: @josui_cp) won.
