To commemorate the broadcast of the original TV anime “Where is the End Train Going?”, which is set on the Seibu Ikebukuro Line and starts its story at Agano Station, Kyukamura Oku-Musashi will be hosting a photo spot featuring a railroad diorama standee.

The story begins here at Agano Station in Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture. It's a story of apocalyptic world, trains and friendship.

◆ Anime Mecca: Hanno City, Saitama Prefecture
Hanno City is a city of beautiful nature and greenery, with 70% of its land covered by mountains and fields. It is a town that is perfect as a setting for outdoor anime, and is also known as a mecca for anime, with works such as “Where is the End Train Going?”, the laid-back outdoor comic “Encouragement of Climb” and “Stella's Magic” depicting the youth of girls who create doujin games. The “Hanno Anime Tourism Executive Committee” was established in Hanno City to smoothly promote businesses that utilize anime and manga related to the Hanno region.

Hanno City is located in the southwestern part of Saitama Prefecture, within about 50 km of central Tokyo, and is blessed with nature, including greenery and clear streams, while also enjoying good transport access.

Fireflies live along the Oppori River, which runs through Kamimachi, Chichibu City, about 40 minutes by car from the holiday village, for about 250 meters. From around June, you can see Heike fireflies dancing near the surface of the river and Genji fireflies flying in the air. At the peak, about 300 fireflies dance, making for a fantastical firefly viewing experience. The Kamimachi Firefly Association maintains an environment for fireflies to breed throughout the year.
