Additional guests announced for the “Kikuchi Shunsuke Music Festival,” a memorial performance for Shunsuke Kikuchi, a master of anime and special effects TV music!

An additional guest appearance has been decided for the “Shunsuke Kikuchi Music Festival (Memorial Performance)” to be held at Suntory Hall on June 23, 2024.

Shunsuke Kikuchi (1931-2021), the man who composed the music for Kamen Rider, Getter Robo, Tiger Mask, Doraemon, and Dragon Ball.
A selection of masterpieces will be performed in tribute and in memory of the master of anime and special effects television music, Mr. Kikuchi Shunsuke.

This time, there will be a special program in which Hideaki Anno participated in the music selection.
From transforming heroes to super robots, enjoy the golden age of Kikuchi's sound with a selection of songs directly chosen by fans of the same generation.
Orchestra Triptych, well-known for its performances of anime and special effects film music, will perform under the direction of Keita Matsui.

In addition to the previously announced stellar cast of guests, including the familiar Nakagawa Shoko, anime song king Sasaki Isao, actor and martial artist Fujioka Hiroshi who played Kamen Rider Hongo Takeshi, and the original singer of the theme song to “Tiger Mask”, Morimoto Hideyo (under the name Nitta Hiroshi), it has been decided that Takano Jiro, who has worked on the remake cover of Shimon Masato's song in the film version of “Denjin Zaborger”, and has been active in a wide range of fields, including film music such as Yamada Yoji's “Living with Mother” (music by Sakamoto Ryuichi), musicals, and opera, will also be appearing.
Jiro Takano will deliver a number of Kikuchi songs full of speed, such as “Barom 1”, “Iron King”, and “Jumborg A”.

On the day of the concert, there will be an exhibition related to Shunsuke Kikuchi's works at the venue, and at the end of the concert there will be a “everyone sing-along corner” in which audience members can join in.
Let's fill Suntory Hall, the world's greatest music hall, with the Kikuchi sound!
