“Tales of the Rays” service to end on July 23rd – 2703-day history ends, offline version and “Memorial Book” to be released

Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced that the service for the smartphone RPG “Tales of the Rays” (hereinafter referred to as “The Rays”) will end on July 23, 2024 (Tuesday).

“The Rays” is a smartphone game released in 2017 that features all the characters from the popular RPG “Tales of” series.

In April 2023, a major update, “Tales of the Rays Recollection,'' was implemented, allowing you to relive the stories of successive series.

In “Tales of Tsushin,” the “The Rays” development team commented on the end of the service, saying, “We have worked hard to provide everyone who loves the Tales of series as much fun as possible. As the story of Na Nog comes to a close, we have decided to end the service.” He also said, “It's all thanks to everyone who played the game that we were able to continue the service for 2,703 days.''

As a result, all social games in the Tales series that have been developed, including Asteria, which ended in May 2023, will be discontinued.

◆Finale campaign including release of memorial book and implementation of offline version
Additionally, following the end of this service, it has been decided that a finale campaign will be held both inside and outside of the game, including the release of the Tales of the Rays Memorial Book.

An “offline version'' is scheduled to be implemented from late July, and some functions such as battles, scenario logs, and encyclopedia functions will continue to be available while preserving the play status. Additionally, a new ending scenario, “Tales of the Rays: Tales of Truth and Memories,'' will also be added to the offline version.
